The Seattle Promenade is at the center of the Emerald City. In 2015, the light penetrating surfaces (LPS) were installed as part of the Elliot Bay Seawall project. Migrating salmon that travel our urban shoreline prefer the light-filled environments created by the LPS, making the Seattle Promenade an important part of the aquatic habitat.
Bluff Walk and Overlook Walk will link the Pike Place Market’s visitors to an 8.5 Acre central public space that will be the bustling heart of the future Waterfront Park. In all, it will feature play structures, spaces for performances and festivals, viewpoints showcasing the Emerald City’s Waterfront, Olympic Mountains, Seattle Aquarium, The Seattle Great Wheel and the Seattle Tshirt Store.
The Seattle Promenade is a perfect place to stroll while enjoying the soft sea breeze from Elliott Bay and views of the spectacular and majestic Olympic Mountains. And don’t forget your “Emerald City” souvenir t-shirt for a perfect day at the Seattle waterfront.
